Every journey to financial empowerment starts somewhere, and mine? Well, it began with life throwing me curveballs that could knock anyone off balance! Like so many women, I found myself in a place I hadn’t anticipated—facing financial challenges after a marriage and later, a relationship that tested my limits in more ways than one.
But let’s rewind. My sense of security during my marriage was anything but typical. I was living the life. My ex-husband and I married young, and he became a successful contractor during the construction boom while I stayed home with sweet littles. We built our dream home, took vacations that felt like something out of a travel magazine, and enjoyed a life that looked picture-perfect from the outside. Life was good... until it wasn’t.
When our marriage ended, I learned that my "security" was more like a house of cards. The divorce left me with almost nothing—except, of course, a bankruptcy and a foreclosure to keep things interesting! I’d been a stay-at-home mom, which meant that now, in my mid-30s, I was starting over at entry level. My ex and I had moved in together right after high school, so I’d never actually lived on my own. Suddenly, I had to figure out how to support myself and my boys. Let’s just say there was a steep learning curve—and maybe a few tears along the way.
Then came a relationship that, well, let’s just say was NOT my finest pick. This one didn’t exactly drain my bank account, but it definitely took a toll on my sense of self. Things got toxic fast, and it ended in a way I never saw coming. One day, I found myself in a situation that required a level of bravery I didn’t know I had, defending my safety in a way that still feels surreal. It could have broken me, but I chose to rebuild instead.
I realized I had grit, resilience, and a pretty strong sense of humor about it all—and I could use that to help other women navigating their own messy, complicated journeys. So, I started out as a coach focused on helping women recover from toxic relationships, guiding them to find their strength and voice again. Over time, this mission expanded into women’s empowerment coaching, and now, I’ve added financial coaching to the mix.
Because here’s the thing: financial empowerment isn’t just about paying bills and counting pennies. It’s about reclaiming control over your life, getting out from under the stress, and seeing money as a tool that works for you. It’s about breaking free from that end-of-month panic cycle and creating a life where you can actually breathe.
And here’s the truth: I’m still on this journey myself, and probably always will be. I’m learning every day, working through my own fears around financial insecurity, and understanding that I am not at the mercy of money. It’s a relationship—a little messy, sometimes empowering, always evolving—and I’m committed to becoming the most powerful version of myself through it all.
This journey led me to create Women's Empowerment Financial Coaching—a space where women can find the tools and confidence to take control of their lives, their money, and their futures. I want all you single moms to know that you CAN overcome the chaos, find stability, and become the heroes of your own stories.
If you’re ready to take steps toward financial clarity, I’m here for you. You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we’ll build a life that feels confident, stable, and empowered!
